Process Overview

Wireframe: I began with a wireframe to map out the overall workflow of this application. I needed to establish a few different flows for the different avenues a user could potentially go down.

User Experience: Once I had the wireframe completed, we released the prototype to a few select musicians in the area. With their feedback, I fine-tuned the prototype. The prototype was functional and leading users down one of three paths that would allow them to tip as the biggest push, purchase merch as a secondary push, request a song, and follow them on social media. Any one of these avenues would also collect the fans information so the musician could create email campagins and stay in contact with their fans.

User Interface: Next I designed the interface. I implemented the brand and used the pop colors to help guide users through the intended project.

Handoff: Once the funnel was completed in Figma, I handed this off to their app developer.

Ideation

The main goal was guiding the user to tip - as you can see throughout the design flow, there are multiple avenues they can go and will still be prompted to leave a tip. This tip has a double function - 1. increase their tip amount. 2. collect their data to use in email marketing campaigns

This launched in May of 2024 and users reported an increase in their tip percentages per show as well as higher utilization of their song request feature.
